Soccer is an all-weather sport. As long as the fields are not closed (as described in item 2), bring an umbrella and play on!
We will close home fields and cancel home games only if
the fields are so soft and muddy that playing on them would damage the field
and/or be especially hazardous. If we do
close any of the home fields, we will contact all coaches via the SBSCCoaches
e-mail list and will be posted here (updates
will be posted by Friday night when possible, but no later than 7 AM Saturday
morning).
If your field is closed, PLEASE CONTACT THE OPPOSING COACH
by phone to notify them that the field is closed; they will have no other way
of knowing. You will find the opposing coach's contact information on the game
schedule for your division.
If you are playing
out of town, you need to check with the opposing coach to see about that club's
field closure policies.Contact
information for all the coaches is provided on the schedules that SBSC coaches
received.
If you are playing
in Solana Beach against a team from out of town,
please contact the coach mid-week before the game and let them know to assume
the game is on unless you advise them otherwise.
